Freaky Friday is about to get its third reboot. This time, the film will star both of the actors who played Han Solo in Star Wars: a relatively unknown actor named Harrison Ford and of course, screen legend Alden Ehrenreich.

The plot will loosely follow the original Freaky Fridays, were an teen with extreme angst (Ford) will accidentally switch places with his father (Ehrenreich) as they navigate what life is like in the other’s shoes.

“We’re very receptive to what the movie-going public wants,” said Thomas Jefferson Geronimo III, Vice President of Walt Disney Pictures’ Reboot Division. “More reboots. Our research indicates the public is tired of new and original ideas. They want something safe. They want something familiar. And most of all – they want their movies gluten-free.”

The newest Freaky Friday will take place entirely in space or on planets located in “outer” space.

“Some portions of the film will take place in a galaxy far, far away,” Geronimo said. “But legally we can’t say that because Star Wars owns it.”

When our reporters informed Geronimo that Disney owns all the films involved in this discussion, he seemed confused by this suggestion and quickly changed the subject.

“Full frontal nudity,” continued Geronimo. “I like films with full frontal nudity… male or female.”

Ron Howard has been tapped as director. The film is scheduled to begin filming this Thanksgiving and will be released four weeks later on Christmas day.
